Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andii Sybiha said Friday that Russia is preparing a massive attack on Ukraine "in nearest future" and planning to carry out seven attacks per month, adding that Kyiv has all the necessary combat experience.
Speaking at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on the southern coast of Türkiye, Sybiha underlined that Ukraine has developed an air defense system capable of producing 2,000 interceptor drones per day and shooting down up to 90% of Russian drones and missiles.
Sybiha said Kyiv is already sharing its drone interception experience with Middle East countries, becoming their “true” security partner.
He added that Russia is interested in prolonging the war in Ukraine as well as in the Middle East to have a chance “to earn bloody money on energy resources.”
Talking about Hungary’s recent parliamentary election, Sybiha said the win of the opposition Tisza party and its leader Peter Magyar became an “Easter gift” for Ukraine.
“Now we have a chance to speed up our European path. Now we have this chance to formally open six clusters, to develop 90 billion laws, to impose or improve the 20th sanctions package,” he underlined.
He added that Ukraine is ready to “open a new page” with the new Hungarian government, saying Kyiv is prepared to "maintain" the Druzhba pipeline, “which was damaged by Russian strikes,” by the end of this month.
Speaking about the peace talks process, he underlined that Ukraine is ready for an “unconditional ceasefire,” adding that Kyiv is expecting a visit from a US negotiation team.
He also said that Türkiye plays a “very important” role in Ukraine’s peace efforts.
