More than 300 hostages have been freed from the hands of Boko Haram, the Nigerian army said Wednesday.
Troops rescued 338 hostages, including 192 children and 138 women, in raids on Boko Haram camps in northeast Nigeria as the military pushes to defeat the extremists by the end of the year.
Tuesday’s attacks on Boko Haram outposts on the fringes of the Sambisa forest in Borno state resulted in the deaths of 30 insurgents, army spokesman Sani Usman said in a statement.
