WASHINGTON
US President Joe Biden on Tuesday visited New York to tout the infrastructure development of the Hudson river tunnel, which connects New York City and New Jersey.
During his visit, Biden announced a nearly $300 million grant to be used for the completion of the Hudson Tunnel Project.
In a speech from inside the tunnel, the US president called the project “one of the biggest and most consequential projects in the country.”
Arguing that it would take time to complete the project, he said: “It's a multi-million dollar effort between the states and the federal government.”
“But we finally have the money and we're going to get it done. I promise you we're going to get it done,” he added.
