NEVADA, US
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton beat Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders in Nevada Democratic caucuses on Saturday.
Of more than 80 percent of the reported precincts Clinton got 52 percent against Sanders’ 48 percent, US media reported.
According to these results, Clinton wins 18 delegates, while Sanders gets 14.
"To everyone who turned out in every corner of Nevada with determination and heart: This is your win. Thank you," Clinton tweeted after the race was called.
The Nevada victory brought the second win to Clinton of the three primaries after being defeated by the Vermont senator in New Hampshire.
A Clinton aide told CNN that Sanders called Clinton to congratulate her.
The competition heads to South Carolina, which holds its Democratic primary next Saturday. As the Democrats were gripped in a tight fight in Nevada on Saturday, Republicans’ tussle over South Carolina continues.
