BOGOTA, Colombia
Colombia's Foreign Ministry has welcomed of Anadolu Agency’s (AA) 13th broadcast-language service -- Spanish – in Bogota.
"Welcome to our country," the Colombian Foreign Ministry stated on its website and social media accounts after the agency launched Spanish-language service in a ceremony attended by Colombian Deputy Foreign Minister Patti Londono Jaramillo in the capital Bogota on Thursday.

A number of distinguished guests attended the ceremony including Engin Yurur, Turkey’s ambassador to Bogota; Metin Mutanoglu, Anadolu Agency's deputy director-general and editor-in-chief; Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Bogota Ramil Farzaliyev; Palestine’s ambassador to Bogota Rauf Malki; and Juan Guillermo Castro Benetti, head of the European Directorate at the Foreign Ministry of Colombia.
The message posted on the Foreign Ministry’s website emphasized that Anadolu Agency is “Turkey’s most important and international news agency”. It stated the agency’s presence in the country shows that the world looks at Colombia "with different eyes".
After expanding its broadcasting language services to 13 this week by launching Indonesian and Spanish, Anadolu Agency strengthened its news network even more with offices in Malaysia and soon in China
Currently posting news in Turkish, English, Arabic, French, the Kurdish dialects of Kurmanji and Sorani, Russian, Bosnian-Croatian-Serbian (BCS), Albanian, Persian, and Macedonian, Anadolu Agency is considered among the most active news agencies in the world.
Anadolu Agency launches service in Indonesian

Established during the first years of the Turkish War of Independence on April 6, as one of Turkey’s first national institutions, Anadolu Agency will expand its news network and power around the world with the new language services and central offices.
