NEW YORK
Wall Street closed lower Tuesday as stock prices of major retail companies posted losses.
The Dow fell 47 points to end the day 21,136 and the S&P 500 declined six points to 2,429.
The Nasdaq decreased 20 points to finish trading at 6,275.
Retail giants Macy's and Target saw their stock prices decline 8.2 percent and 1.9 percent, respectively, while Walmart shares fell 1.6 percent.
