At least four Palestinians were injured in clashes with the Israeli army early Tuesday in the Jenin refugee camp, the second biggest in the West Bank.
According to eyewitnesses, the violence erupted after an Israeli force entered the refugee camp and arrested a resident, identified as Islam al-Tobasi.
The Israeli force stormed Al-Tombasi's home after bombing its entrance and opened fire on him when he tried to escape, the eyewitnesses said.
Traces of blood were found after the arrest at his home, sparking anger among the camp's residents, they added.
Tension is still high in the camp with Israeli reinforcements arriving near the camp.
The Israeli army did not make any statement on the reason behind Al-Tombasi's arrest.
