ANKARA
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif will pay a one-day visit to Turkey on January 4, diplomatic sources said on Thursday.
Zarif is scheduled to meet his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu.
Regional developments and bilateral relations are expected to come up during the meeting between the two ministers, who will also discuss developments in Syria and Iraq. They will exchange views regarding current negotiations on Iran's nuclear program between the Islamic Republic and major powers.
Davutoglu had invited Zarif to attend ceremonies marking the death of thirteenth century poet and mystic Rumi in December, but the Iranian minister could not attend, citing his mother's illness.
