SANLIURFA
The 6th International Abraham Meetings in 2012, which is sponsored by Anadolu Agency (AA), aims at building "favour bridges" around the world starting from Sanliurfa, Prophet Abraham's place of birth.
The meeting will be led by Governor's Office of Turkey's southeastern Sanliurfa province. It takes place in Sanliurfa because Prophet Abraham is considered the father of all prophets of three divine religions Islam, Judaism and Christianity.
Relief organizations from all over the world will convene in the city, and share their activities, information, knowledge and experiences.
Within that scope, AA will prepare news stories during International Abraham Meetings in five different languages.
AA will also open a photo exhibition displaying Turkey's assistances in countries such as Somalia and Arakan.
High-level state officials, bureaucrats, Turkish and foreign diplomats, businessmen, and representatives of non-governmental organizations will participate in the meetings.
The Abraham Meetings have been launched as a goodness movement which reach the whole world starting from Sanliurfa, Abraham's place of birth. It intends to bring all the humanity together in Abraham's, the father of the three divine religions, deep profundity. The goal of Abraham Meetings is to tread in Abraham's steps, following the way he opened 4,000 years ago, in light of profundity of hearts, hospitality, sharing, benevolence, abundance and love of human being and to spread his messages. Launched on a national basis in 2007, the project took place as an international event as of 2008 extending its scope and vision in order to embrace the whole humanity.
