Pakistan on Thursday said it conducted a “successful” training launch of a cruise missile in the Arabian Sea.
With a range of 450 km (280 miles), Babur-1A is capable of engaging targets at land and sea with "high precision," according to a statement by Pakistan Army.
"The missile was launched from state-of-the-art Multi Tube Missile Launch Vehicle," it added.
Pakistan, which is engaged in several land and sea disputes with longtime rival India, has conducted a series of ballistic and cruise missile tests in recent months.
On Feb. 3, the nuclear-armed nation tested surface-to-surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi, which is capable of delivering nuclear and conventional warheads up to a range of 290 km (180 miles).
