Anadolu Agency will carry up-to-the-minute results for Sunday’s general election on its dedicated election website.
Results, percentages of votes and turnout from domestic and overseas polls will be released as soon as possible on the secim.aa.com.tr site, along with accompanying graphics and comparisons to June’s general election.
Parties’ share of votes and winning candidates will be announced promptly, along with photographs and detailed profiles.
The agency has devised special software program to efficiently transfer data to subscribers.
News organizations can access Anadolu Agency’s data for use on their own websites with an “iframe code”.
The agency will release the official results when the Supreme Election Board removes its ban on election broadcasting.
The election website will operate in Turkish, English and Arabic. Wire stories will be published in the nine languages of Anadolu Agency’s output.
A special databank of candidates contains photographs and detailed profiles and the details of winning candidates will be available as soon as the result in their voting district is announced.
Anadolu Agency has proved its reliability in Turkey's local, parliamentary and presidential elections. At the June 7 general election, 90 percent of Turkey’s media organizations subscribed to the agency’s election service, which was also closely followed by the political parties.
The night saw the agency publish 6,000 photographs and 4,500 articles from across Turkey.
Those unable to access the Internet can receive the agency’s SMS texts provided by Avea and Vodafone.
The official results announced by the election board confirmed the authenticity of results broadcast by Anadolu Agency.
