Turkey denies claims that it buys crude oil from ISIL or any other illegitimate source said Energy Minister Taner Yildiz during a visit to Anadolu Agency's Editor's Desk on Friday.
Yildiz said there have been three different claims regarding Turkey’s energy strategies recently, which aim to degrade Turkey’s international reputation.
“These three claims are that Turkey is selling oil produced in ISIL-controlled areas in Syria and Iraq, that Turkey is selling jet-fuel oil to Israel and that Turkey is importing nuclear components from Germany to produce nuclear weapons,” Yildiz said, adding that, “All of these claims are lies.”
The minister strongly emphasized that it is completely out of question for Turkey to do any illegal activities, especially regarding the regional energy sources.
