Oil prices in the world market reached their lowest levels in recent years and that is making drivers in the Balkan region happy.
The countries that have benefited the most in the region are Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where it now costs $18 less to fill up a tank of gas compared to a month ago.
Fuel prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina decreased to $1.13 per liter, which is the lowest in recent years. Authorities say the decline is expected to continue in the coming days.
According to several reports from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the price of 95 octane gasoline is $1.47 per liter, while the price of diesel dropped to $1.20 per liter.
The most expensive gas in Europe is in Norway, where a liter of Eurosuper 95 octane gasoline is $2.08, while Eurosuper 98 octane is $2.18 per liter and low sulfur diesel is $1.92 per liter.
Meanwhile, the cheapest fuel in Europe is in Russia, where a liter of Eurosuper 95 octane gasoline costs $0.67 and a liter of euro diesel costs $0.65 per liter.
