ISTANBUL
Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation will convene on Tuesday in Istanbul in a summit meeting of the heads of state and government, marking the 20th anniversary of the organization's foundation.
The meeting will be chaired by Turkish President Abdullah Gul to host his Romanian, Moldovan, Serbian, Georgian and Azeri counterparts as well as prime ministers of Albania and Bulgaria, deputy prime ministers of Russia and Ukraine, foreign minister of Greece and deputy foreign minister of Armenia.
Turkey is set to take over the rotating presidency of the organization from Serbia. Turkish diplomatic sources say Turkey pans to introduce a new strategy document to strengthen the organization and open new areas of cooperation.
