European stocks close in positive territory

ISTANBUL

European stock closed Tuesday with gains thanks to a positive outlook on the economy, especially amongst travel companies.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 4.03 points, or 0.82%, to end the day at 494.02.

London's FTSE 100 was up 120.61 points, or 1.63%, to close at 7,505.

Germany's DAX 30 rose 135.87 points, or 0.86%, to close at 16,020 while France's CAC 40 climbed 100.19 points, or 1.39%, to 7,317.

Italy's FTSE MIB 30 was up 224.52 points, or 0.81%, to close at 27,954.

Spain's IBEX 35 added 34.6 points, or 0.39%, to finish at 8,795.
