Turkey drew 15.9 billion USD of direct international investment in 2011.
The investments increased 75.7 percent when compared to 2010, said Secretary General Ozlem Ozyigit of International Investors Association (YASED) on Thursday.
Ozyigit noted that the amount of direct international investments in the world rose 16.5 percent and exceeded 1.5 trillion USD in 2011, adding that they still needed some time to reach pre-crisis level which had been 1.98 trillion USD in 2007.
Ozyigit said that Turkey targeted to exceed 15 billion USD in 2012, and reach 20 billion USD which was a pre-crisis figure.
The share Turkey got from world direct investments increased from 0.7 percent to one percent in 2011, added Ozyigit.
