Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up over 1.6% at close

ISTANBUL

Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 100,604.99 points on Monday, increased 1.63%.

Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 99,836.53 points. As of the close, it had gained 1,617.51 points from the last week's close of 98,987.48 points.

The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,512.00 by market close, up from $1,504.75 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.

The price of Brent crude oil was around $62.60 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Monday.
