Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Thursday up

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 13,689 points, up 1.12% day-on-day.

Starting the day at 13,530.61 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 152.16 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 13,529.12, while the daily high was 13,712.46.

The market value of BIST 100 was around 13.3 trillion Turkish liras ($299.4 billion), with a trading volume of 182 billion liras ($4.08 billion).

Some 57 stocks on the index rose and 42 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $4,792.65 per ounce, while Brent crude futures traded for $97.3 per barrel as of 6.45 pm local time (1545GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 44.5665 the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 52.2260, and the British pound traded for 59.9780 liras.
