Turkiye's Borsa Istanbul closes Friday with losses

Turkiye's benchmark stock index ended Friday at 1,943.81 points, down 0.72% from the previous close.

Starting the day at 1,969.73 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 14.09 points from Thursday's close of 1,957.90 points.

Price of one ounce of gold was $1,807, with a 0.14% gain at 6.19 p.m. local time (1519 GMT).

Price of Brent crude oil jumped 2.6% to $93.50 per barrel.
