Russian Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev on Monday arrived in Pyongyang for a working visit to North Korea.
Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said in a statement that Kolokoltsev is scheduled to hold several meetings during his visit.
"Russian Interior Minister, Police General of the Russian Federation Vladimir Kolokoltsev has arrived in the capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the city of Pyongyang.
"The head of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs will hold several working meetings, including with his Korean counterpart, Minister of Public Security of the DPRK Pang Du-sop. Issues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of law enforcement will be discussed," she said.
Over the past decade, Russia and North Korea have developed a comprehensive strategic partnership, formalized by a treaty in 2024.
