LONDON
Around 2,000 people filled London’s Westminster Abbey on Wednesday to mark the unity and solidarity shown following a terror attack outside the British parliament in which four people died two weeks ago.
Khalid Masood carried out the attack on March 22, mowing down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before attacking police outside parliament. He was killed moments after his deadly attack.
British royals the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge plus Prince Harry were joined by Home Secretary Amber Rudd at Wednesday’s event, close to the scene of Masood’s rampage.
Ambassadors from over 200 countries, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, police and emergency services representatives and members, faith leaders and family members of the victims were also present.
