ISTANBUL
European stocks closed Thursday with gains, bouncing back from their lowest level in six months that was recorded in the previous session.
The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European markets in 17 countries, was up 1.59 points, or 0.36%, to finish at 448.50.
Spain’s IBEX 35 was the best performer of the day, rising 94 points, or 1.02%, to 9,426.
The UK’s FTSE 100 rose 8.63 points, or 0.11%, to end the fourth trading day of the week at 7,601.
Germany’s DAX 30 added 106 points, or 0.7%, to 15,323 and France’s CAC 40 was up 44 points, or 0.63%, to 7,116.
Italy’s FTSE MIB increased 150 points, or 0.54%, to hit 28,163 at the final bell.
