Five people were killed and 18 others injured Thursday when a civilian bus carrying Jordanian military service conscripts collided with another vehicle in the south of the country, the Jordanian Armed Forces said.
The military said the bus was transporting a group of conscripts back to their places of residence when the collision occurred, according to the official Petra news agency.
Four of the conscripts were killed and 18 others injured in the crash, it said.
The bus driver was also killed, bringing the death toll to five.
The statement did not provide further details on the condition of those injured or the exact location of the accident.
