Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense announced Tuesday evening that the danger had passed in two governorates in the central part of the kingdom after issuing an emergency warning.
The authority said in a statement that it had issued an alert in Wadi al-Dawasir and al-Sulayyil to warn of a “danger,” without specifying its nature.
It later announced an all-clear in both governorates, again providing no details about the threat.
Earlier Tuesday, the Houthi group in neighboring Yemen threatened to target Saudi oil company Aramco’s headquarters in Dammam, the top airport in the capital Riyadh, and Aramco’s Riyadh refinery in response to any attack by the Saudi-led coalition on its sites in the Yemeni capital Sanaa.
