A total of 78 people were killed in several cities of Syria during operations staged by forces loyal to the regime.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, stated that Assad forces killed 27 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 23 in Homs, 13 in Aleppo, 7 in Dera'a, 4 in Idlib, 2 in Deir al-Zor, one each in el-Haseqqeh and Quneitra in air and land offensives.
Moreover, Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) added fierce clashes continue between Free Syrian Army and Hezbollah supported regime forces in Qusayr, a district of Homs in west of Syria, border town to Lebanon.
SRGC also noted that opposition members shot down a helicopter near Syrian city of Aleppo.
SANA, Syrian national news agency, announced that regime forces made major gains against opposition fighters in operations across the country.
