A car bomb attack on the house of a former Iraqi parliamentarian and tribe leader on Wednesday in the north of Baghdad, near the Salaadin province killed two people and seriously injured three others.
Police officials said that a car bomb attack targeted the house of former Iraqi parliamentarian and tribe leader Wissam Al Bayati.
The police noted that the car bomb was parked in front of the house and added that Al Bayati's brother lost his life at the hospital, while Al Bayati was not at home during the attack.
Al Bayati was known for his efforts to prevent terror attacks and held negotiations to keep off armed groups of the region.
