Egypt partially reopened the Rafah crossing with the Gaza Strip on Saturday.
"The Egyptian side opened the crossing today from 8 GMT until 12 GMT," Maher Abu Sabha, director of borders and crossings in the Gaza government, told Anadolu Agency.
He said that those who had failed to leave Gaza last week and those still stranded on the Egyptian side would be allowed to cross via the border gate.
Egyptian authorities have not said whether the terminal would be kept open throughout the week.
On Monday, Egyptian authorities closed the Rafah crossing – Gaza's only gateway to the outside world – after 25 soldiers were killed by militants in the Sinai Peninsula.
