Greek police have arrested Nikolaos Mihaloliakos, the far right leader of Golden Dawn Party on Saturday charged with violent attitude of his party and forming a criminal organization, in an escalation of a government crackdown.
Together with Mihaloliakos 34 other Golden Dawn Party members were detained for various crimes.
A report prepared by the Ministry of Public Order following the stabbing to death of an anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fissas on 17 September reflected that the activities of the Golden Dawn violates the Greek law and endorsed the Supreme Court to take action.
Golden Dawn, the country's third most popular political party according to opinion polls, has 18 MPs in the Greek Parliament.
