US Secretary of State John Kerry said that the date of Geneva 2 Conference, which is planned to find a political solution for Syrian crisis, would become clear in the following days.
Kerry arrived in the capital Amman of Jordan on Thursday within the scope of communication in the Middle East and held a joint press conference with his Jordanian counterpart Nasser Judeh.
Stating the US is determined to solve the Syrian issue, Kerry said he believed that the date of Geneva 2 Conference would become clear soon.
The secretary also said they had been working on many options, also on those of the UN and Arab League special envoy to Syria Lakhdar Brahimi, anticipating the meeting would bring beneficial results to all parties.
Kerry pointed out that Syrian people who were suffering from hunger as the Syrian regime prevented humanitarian aids are eating meat of cats and dogs, adding US was in the opinion that Assad should leave power in Syria.
Meanwhile, Kerry thanked the Jordanian government and people for providing shelter to about 600,000 Syrian refugees.
