BRUSSELS
Macedonia faces repression from Greece and Bulgaria for its candidacy for EU membership.
Even though Macedonia meets all the criteria, because of the problems they have with Greece, Macedonia's path to the EU membership has been blocked.
Furthermore, despite the fact that Macedonia received a positive report from the European Commission, Greece and Bulgaria stated that they do not support the meeting of European leaders giving a date to Macedonia for the start of EU membership talks.
Meeting of the EU foreign affairs ministers decided that they want from Macedonia to hold onto the existence of stable and friendly neighborly relations.
The EU countries' foreign ministers decided to reexamine the talks no earlier than the spring 2013.
