Iran's religious leader Ali Hamaney said, "The real winner of the presidential election is the Iranian public who proved their hopeful, faithful hearts and alive, decisive faces to the world by the help of God."
In a statement he released, Hamaney greeted Iran's new president Hassan Rowhani, and thanked the public for high turnout at the elections.
Hamaney added, "Pre-election period's excitement and competitive atmosphere should be transferred into friendship and cooperation."
