BAGHDAD
At least 11 people were killed and 23 others injured in a suicide attack on Monday in Baghdad, Iraqi security sources said.
An attack in the northern province of Taji killed 11 people and wounded 23 others, according to the sources.
Iraq has been in a security vacuum since June, when ISIL overran Mosul and declared what it calls a caliphate in parts of Iraq and Syria.
The U.S. is leading an international coalition that has carried out numerous airstrikes against ISIL in Iraq and Syria.
