Tunisian security forces have arrested 27 militants who had attempted to storm a national guard station in the district of Douar Hicher in the country's northeastern Manouba province, the Interior Ministry has said Saturday.
"National Guard troops arrested 27 militants who had tried to storm a national guard station in Douar Hicher," ministry spokesman Mohammed Ali al-Arawi was quoted as saying by Yemen's state-run news agency.
On Friday, violent clashes broke out between security forces and armed militants after the latter attempted to storm a national guard station in Douar Hicher.
