Tunisian pro-democracy and pro-revolution groups held a huge rally in Tunisian capital Tunis on Saturday evening under the name "The revolution is about to begin now. Our unity and revolution will succeed."
Hundreds of thousands of pro-democracy and pro-revolution groups gathered at the Kasbah Square.
After the tarawih prayer, pro-democracy groups shouted slogans on behalf of Tunisian army's operation on the Algerian border against terrorism. Groups also prayed for the soldiers who have been killed on Monday by unidentified persons in Mount Chaambi.
Pro-democracy and pro-revolution groups' aim was to protect the Jasmine Revolution, prevent any intervention from outside the parliament and denounce violence.
The purpose of the evening's gathering was to solidify national unity, support the transition period, back continuation of democratization process in larger consensus platform, express their support for the current political administration and show the attitude of Tunisian people against undemocratic elements.
