Turkish A Haber TV editor Fatih Er and cameraman Tufan Guzelgun, who were released late on Tuesday after being detained by the Egyptian soldiers, said they were not subjected to any violence.
Er said that they were detained as they were trying to leave Rab'a al Adaweya Square where Egyptian soldiers fired on the supporters of Morsi, after they were blocked by the soldiers from filming.
"Civilian people blindfolded us and then took us to an unknown place, asking us several questions along the road," he said.
Reporting no assault or pounding subjected to them, Er noted that "They treated us very kindly."
Cameraman Tufan Guzelgun also stated that the place they were detained did not fall into a military zone, saying they did not know the people they were handed over to by the Egyptian soldiers.
Guzelgun also thanked the authorities enabling their release. "They released us just when we lost our hopes. I thank those who exerted efforts to free us," he told.
