Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim on Tuesday paid farewell visits as premier to Parliament Speaker Ismail Kahraman and Chief of General Staff Gen. Hulusi Akar.
As Turkey officially shifted into a presidential government system following President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s victory in the June 24 elections, Yildirim became the last prime minister of the Turkish Republic.
His premiership is due to conclude when a new government is formed next week.
Yildirim also met with Ismail Rustu Cirit, chief justice of Turkey’s Supreme Court.
Later today, he is also set to visit the heads of the Religious Affairs Directorate, Constitutional Court, and national radio and TV broadcaster TRT.
