UNITED NATIONS
Security Council of the United Nations (UN) decided to establish an intervention force to fight against rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Resolution 2098 establishing the intervention force was accepted unanimously and the Security Council gave the force the authority to work with the army of the Democratic Republic of Congo or fight independently against the rebels.
The intervention force will work as part of the UN Peace force in the Democratic Republic of Congo and its duty will be limited for a year.
