NEW YORK
The Secretary General of the UN Ban Ki-moon strongly condemned the missile launch test of North Korea on Wednesday.
According to a statement by his office, Ban deplored the missile launch test and said it could negatively impact prospects for peace and security in the region.
"It is a clear violation of Security Council resolution 1874, in which the Council demanded that the DPRK (Democratic People's Republic of Korea) not conduct any launch using ballistic missile technology" the statement said.
Turkey condemns North Korea's long-range rocket launch
On the other hand, Turkey strongly condemned North Korea's long-range rocket launch using ballistic missile technology.
In a statement released, Turkish Foreign Ministry stated that Turkey was deeply concerned by the possible negative implications of this irresponsible step taken by North Korea despite all international warnings.
