Speaking to Anadolu Agency about Syria, developments in Middle East and foreign policy of U.S., Ernst stated that as U.S. they are getting ready for post-Assad period.
Ernst noted that Washington will not get involved in who will be coming to power after toppling of Assad and added that they will support Syria in the areas of politics and security.
On the other hand, Ernst warned the Syrians over the possible wars of religion and stressed that the existence of Al-Qaida in Syria will benefit Al-Assad.
Lastly, Ernst touched on Israel and Palestine issue and said that like in the past, Obama administration is on the side of two-state solution.
