Milan fight back from 2 goals down to earn 2-2 draw at Lazio

AC Milan fought back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Lazio in Serie A on Saturday, with substitute Diego Moreira scoring twice in the second half.

Lazio, who entered the match with a perfect record of three wins from three games, dominated the opening half and took the lead in the 10th minute.

Nuno Tavares drove through midfield before finding Mattia Zaccagni on the left, with the Italian delivering a low ball across goal for Matteo Cancellieri to finish at the back post.

The hosts continued to create chances, with Mike Maignan denying Zaccagni from close range before Davide Frattesi fired narrowly wide.

Lazio doubled their advantage in the 39th minute. After another attack down the left, Tijjani Noslin's close-range effort struck the crossbar before the ball eventually crossed the line to make it 2-0.

Milan head coach Ruben Amorim made three changes at halftime, including introducing Moreira and Christian Pulisic, as the visitors took control after the restart.

Moreira made an impact down the left as Milan began creating a series of chances, but the visitors had to wait until the 65th minute to pull one back.

Pulisic picked out Moreira arriving from the left, and the substitute fired a powerful effort past Christos Mandas to reduce the deficit.

Just two minutes later, Moreira struck again. Adrien Rabiot pulled the ball back to the edge of the penalty area, where Moreira fired into the bottom corner to complete Milan's comeback.

The visitors continued to push forward as Lazio struggled to reproduce their first-half performance.

Milan increased the pressure in the closing stages in search of a winner, but Lazio held on as the two sides shared the points.

The draw ended Lazio's perfect start to the Serie A season, moving them to 10 points from four matches, while Milan remain unbeaten with eight points.
