In Group E, England smashed San Marino 5-0 at Wembley. Scorers for England were Everton center-back Phil Jagielka, Manchester United skipper Wayne Rooney, Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck, Tottenham Hotspur winger Andros Townsend plus an own goal from San Marino defender Alessandro Della Valle.
