ANKARA
English Premier League team Arsenal's central midfielder Jack Wilshere will be sidelined for three months due to an ankle injury.
According to a statement made on the London club's website on Thursday, the 22-year old English international underwent surgery on his left ankle and will be out of action for around three months.
Wilshere sustained the major injury during his side's English Premier League match against Manchester United last Saturday.
Jack Wilshere is Arsenal's fifth injured player this season.
Gunners backup goalkeeper David Ospina, right-back Mathieu Debuchy, central midfielder Abou Diaby and attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil have also all been tussling with injury problems.
