BABIL, Iraq
The death toll from a suicide attack that targeted a football stadium in Iraq’s central Babil province on Friday has increased to 32, local medical sources said Saturday.
According to the sources, another 70 people were injured in the attack, which occurred during a football match.
Iraq has suffered a devastating security vacuum since June 2014, when the Daesh terrorist group overran Mosul -- the country’s second largest city -- in the northern Nineveh province.
