At least 51 dismissed teachers in capital Ankara on Monday over suspected links to Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO), a police source said.
The teachers have been taken into custody as part of a probe launched by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which issued an arrest warrant for a total of 107 former teachers, the source said, speaking on condition of anonymity due to restrictions over talking to the media.
An operation is ongoing to arrest the remaining suspects.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup bid, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
