Six terrorists were killed and one was captured in an air-supported operation in the southeastern Sirnak province on Friday, the statement from the provincial governor’s office said.
In a separate statement issued by the governor's office in Diyarbakir, an air-backed operation killed five terrorists in the southeastern province on Friday.
A total of six Kalashnikovs, three rifles, three hand grenades as well as ammunition were seized in the operations.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015. Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians.
