DAKAR
Speaking at the African Media Leaders Forum in Dakar, capital of Senegal, Ozturk said that what Africa really needed was objective and accurate news and added that it was time for the West and the world to learn Africa from Africans.
Ozturk said that AA aimed to promote the culture and values of the geographies that were depicted as backward and ill-fated by some other news agencies and to broadcast the true voice of Africa and Asia to the world.
He also mentioned the centennial objectives of AA and gave information about war journalism certificate program organized by the agency.
