ANKARA
The Anadolu Agency (AA) has launched certificate programs on diplomacy and finance journalism as part of the agency's centennial vision in order to train a new generation of journalists.
The opening ceremony was held at the AA headquarters in Turkish capital, Ankara.
Kemal Ozturk, Chairman of the Executive Board and Director General of AA, held the opening speech of the ceremony.
Ozturk addressed the students of diplomacy and finance certificate program of the News Academy and said that they could be very successful personally, they could know a foreign language very well or they could be very good researchers but those had no value unless they served as a team member of the AA family.
He emphasized the importance of the energy to work to come from the inside rather than to be plugged to a source to be motivated.
Ozturk gave information regarding the career path in the AA and said, "It is easy to establish a career in AA as long as you work hard. You should have realized from your interviews that there is no place for preferential treatment in this institution."
Ozturk reminded that the AA started broadcasting in Arabic, Bosnian and Russian in 2012 and its "Centennial Vision" was built on the new generation graduates of the Academy.
