Arinc held the opening of the offices and said that Anadolu Agency (AA) had taken its place up in one of the most prestigious news agencies of the world.
Bulent Arinc said, "AA has taken its place up in one of the most prestigious news agencies of the world. All our works in the past three years have brought satisfied results, I must admit. When we think about the next three years ahead, we will reach our centennial targets."
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Arinc said that AA Executive Board Chairman and Director General Kemal Ozturk and his colleagues have been putting so much effort into improvement works and added that the new member of staff who join the AA team get trained in the fields of diplomacy, finance and war journalism.
Arinc also added that AA produces news and broadcast them in several languages, furthermore he said that from hot zones "our journalists produce news". He stated, "From Libya, Tunisia, Egypt and Syria, they make out news".
Turkish deputy pm focused on the media works in Bursa region and said that as AA will be active in the region immediately, other media organizations can benefit from AA.
"Ankara's Editor's Desk host a different guest each day and via 25 screens, they connect representatives of the foreign offices and abroad and get to know what is happening out there," said Arinc on Monday.
AA President Ozturk explained that AA had been set up during the war of Turkish independence and its aim was to herald Turkey's voice to the world.
Ozturk expressed that in the past 92 years AA has been informing the world and with the support of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc, the project of "the centennial vision" will contribute to AA more and keep information stronger.
Ozturk stated that when clicking on AA's website, alongside Turkish, readers can reach news in Arabic, English, Bosnian and Russian and added, "There is an AA which introduces Turkey, gives messages of Turkey to the world in five languages. AA is growing stronger and that is why our Bursa Regional Directorate has been reconstructed and largened. According to Bursa AA statistics that the value of news from Bursa rose 70 percent in one year and that is why we wanted to enlarge the office, increased the number of employees, renewed its technology. Now, we can reach Bursa's news. Bursa became the third largest regional directorate of AA."
Ozturk added that the cities of Yalova, Balikesir and Canakkale offices which are under the supervision of Bursa regional directorate increased their number of news too and said that Turkey benefit a lot from it.
Kemal Ozturk thanked the government and Arinc for their support.
Alongside the guests, journalists from local and national media organizations, parliamentarians, AA executives and editors, the opening ceremony was attended by Bursa Governor Sahabettin Harput, Bursa Mayor Recep Altepe and Yalova Mayor Yakup Kocal.
