ANKARA
The "News Transmission System" for the Arabic News Desk of Anadolu Agency (AA) took effect during AA's 93rd anniversary celebrations.
Moreover, the Arabic News Desk celebrated its first year of broadcasting.
AA Arabic News Coordinator Turan Kislakci delivered a speech during the agency's 93rd anniversary celebrations at the headquarters of AA in Turkish capital Ankara on Saturday.
Kislakci drew attention to the era of information and communications and said, people who lived in this period were the people of information. Kislacki noted what forms culture all around the world was sourced by media.
"The AA progressed very well in the past two years. It is completely international at the moment," said Kislacki and added, as the media formed cultures, politics and directs people, within this framework, the AA took its place in the international arena and put forward great successes.
Arabic desk's coordinator underscored that "Vision of New Turkey" brought out by Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was very effective and added, "At the moment, Egyptian, Libyan and Lebanese media organs receive news reports about their countries from us. We broadcast up to 200 news stories a day. With this number, we passed all the world agencies who are active in the Middle East. This is a great achievement for us."
Moreover, Regional Director of AA Middle East, Tevfik Ganim took part in the 93rd anniversary celebrations through a video conference system and delivered his speech from the AA's Cairo office.
Ganim highlighted that the AA was keep going from strength to strength and they were working hard in 22 Arab countries, with 150 reporters in the region.
After Kislakci and Ganim delivered their speeches, "First birthday cake" of the Arabic News Desk in Istanbul was cut.
Following the celebration, the news reports of the Arabic News Desk came in effect on the "News Transmission System".
Previously, news in Bosnian took effect on the AA News Transmission System too.
