ANTALYA
The Founding Principal of the Russian School in southwestern province of Antalya, Victor Bikkenev said on Wednesday that Anadolu Agency's (AA) Russian edition services would be important for Russian speakers in Turkey and that the AA assumed a crucial mission in fulfilling a need of such speakers.
In an exclusive interview with the AA, Bikkenev said that there were about 50,000 foreigners living in Turkey who spoke Russian.
"The number of foreigners arriving in Turkey increases every year. One of the problems of various foreigners is about not being able to know what is happening in Turkey. Foreigners in Turkey want to learn about life in Turkey. As media organizations publish news in Turkish, many non-Turkish speakers are not aware of what is happening in Turkey," Bikkenev stated.
AA's news in Russian language will help many foreigners learn about Turkey, Bikkenev stressed.
As an educational institution, we pay high attention to developments such as the AA's Russian edition services, Bikkenev underlined.
Services as implemented by the AA also contribute to Turkey's development, Bikkenev noted.
Our 150 students follow the developments in Turkey via the AA, Bikkenev also said.
